Singing
Amelia was pretending that her princess coloring book was actually a hymnal. She wandered all around the living room singing out of it. Pretty cute.

Halloween Tunic/Dress
I bought several Oliver + S patterns, which I'm fairly certain none of you have heard of, for Amelia. They are supposedly the greatest kids clothing patterns around. They are also the most expensive kids clothing patterns around. This is the shirt part of the Puppet Show shirt/short set.
I thought it would be super cute to make Amelia a special shirt to wear for Halloween. I ordered the fabric online and was surprised at how large the print was. Good thing this top is more like a dress. I made a straight size 2T and am hoping that it will fit her next year too. It was definitely the most intense clothing item I've ever attempted. I think it turned out OK.
This little tiny thing has 10 buttons. Seriously, 10 buttons. The sleeve has a little button cuff that I think is a really nice added feature. Most children's clothing is pretty plain, but this definitely stands out! Too bad Amelia had the biggest temper tantrum ever when I had her try it on. Apparently, she hates it.

Halloween Pillow
The latest holiday pillow. The weird shape is supposed to be a bat, but it doesn't really show up that great in such a busy fabric. I used fabric scraps from a shirt I made, so it is a little strange. That's Halloween! Oh well, Amelia's dolls enjoy it.
Pumpkin Patch Part 1
Saturday, we went to the pumpkin patch. It was pretty chilly, so we didn't stay long. Amelia still got to run around and play on all the playground equipment though. She loved it!

Halloween Crafting
I decided that Amelia doesn't get to do enough crafting at home. She is always making pictures at school and is so proud when they come home. Our basement door has become her art gallery.
I saw a variation of this craft online and decided to alter it a little so a 2 year old could do it. Luckily, I already had the supplies at home. I taped the craft sticks together and let Amelia go to town painting. She did orange/green and black/white. You can tell it was a slightly messy process. I then used my highly refined art skills and drew a pumpkin, ghost, cat, and spider (yes, that is a spider) onto the sticks. The final result was fun puzzles for Amelia to play with.

Quilt - State of Grace
Yet another quilt that has been sitting around waiting for me to finish it for years. I cut this one out in 2009 and it has been in that state until a few months ago. I have quite a few quilts that I want to make, but I am forcing myself to finish up what I already have.
This one is a generously sized lap quilt. It's perfect for napping on the couch. The scrappy look isn't really my style, but it's growing on me.

Ballet Part 2
Another picture of Amelia getting ready for dance class. She loves it so much!
Look at the world's tiniest bun. I can't believe we managed to get one in her super fine hair.

Dance Fever
Rob follows everything Cyclone related on various websites. He found the song Comin' Thru by some famous rapper from Kansas City (Tech N9ne). I'm tragically un-hip and have no idea who this guy is. Somehow, he met up with one of ISU's linemen who provided the beats for the song and ISU's drumline also is involved. Amelia loves, loves, loves the song and dances like a crazy child everytime she hears it.
Ignore the mismatch outfit and the intermission to get Dolly and her blanket halfway through. Just look at how much fun she is having!
