Christmas Goodies

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning. I stopped taking pictures pretty early, she just had so many presents it was hard to keep up! Thank you to everyone that helped spoil her. Amelia had a great Christmas!

Teacher Gifts

Amelia has some wonderful teachers at her daycare. They really care about her and she loves seeing them everyday. I tried to think of a simple gift for them that would be useful. I found this cute tutorial and whipped up a few bags. Once they were filled with treats, I had Amelia deliver them.

O Come Let Us Adore Him

Amelia has gotten a Little People Nativity set as part of her Advent calendar. She really likes to put the people in different situations. Her favorite is under the Christmas tree.

Christmas T-shirt

It was a Thursday night about 9 PM. Amelia had a Christmas party the next day and nothing to wear. What was I to do? I searched through my craft supplies and found a ton of green and red ribbon. Unfortunately, I had misplaced my glue gun. How could I make a matching Christmas tree bow with no glue gun?

Then I remembered that she already had the perfect bows and I just happened to have ribbon to match. So, the Christmas tree shirt was born. It isn't what I envisioned, but it still gets the point across.

Santa!

We took Amelia to see Santa on Saturday at Bass Pro. They had a carousel this year to ride while you waited. Rob let her pick her animal and she choose the deer. She looked like she was having a good time, maybe not in this photo though.

 Getting her candy cane.

Amelia did a great job. She climbed up the stairs to Santa's lap all by herself. Then she turned around and told him what she wanted for Christmas. She said she told him that she wanted Nemo.

Advent Calendar

I've always thought that Advent calendars are a great idea. It's a good way to help Amelia understand what Christmas is really about. I found an online tutorial for a quilted calendar here. It was pretty time consuming, but will last forever. Even after the fabrics are outdated and uncool. Now, if only I can get caught up on the rest of my Christmas crafting!

Dance Class

A couple weeks ago was parent watch night at Amelia's dance class. She was in an unusually bad mood for the first half of the class, but she warmed up for the second half. We could tell she loves it. Please excuse the picture quality, they are from our cell phones.

Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving and an Explanation

Wearing her hat that she made at school and a turkey shirt I made.

I know that some of you have been hyperventilating because the blog hasn't been updated in quite awhile. Well, I was crazy busy at work the week after Thanksgiving and didn't have a chance to update it. When I finally had time to sit down and write some posts, I ran into a problem. After 2 1/2 years of constant Amelia updates, I hit my free storage limit. I did a little research on my options and the simplest seems to be to just pay extra for more storage. So, look for a paypal donation button in the future. (Just kidding, sort of.)
