Notes for me. Do not ever attempt to do a rolled hem on the bias with organza. What a nightmare! Her little skirt is definitely not my best work. I made a white one as well. I may try again with a different fabric and hope for a better outcome. I don't think anyone really notices how bad the hem is when the girl wearing it is so cute, right?

Nice Weather

Last Saturday, we finally had nice enough weather to open up the house. Amelia carried her doll cradle and all her favorite dollies over to the front door. She put the dollies to bed and just stared outside for a really long time.

Later that day, Amelia had just completed a successful trip to the bathroom and we were getting her reward when Amelia said there was a balloon outside. I thought she had seen a little party balloon fly by, but nope. Here is what she saw.

Those power lines run right along the edge of our backyard. The balloon was fairly low across the street and flew right over our house. We saw 2 other balloons, but they were too far away to get a good picture of.

Have you tried these yet? Super delicious. Amelia is a fan. In fact, she decided that they were too good for me to break up for her. She wanted to eat hers like a big kid.

Dancing Queen

 Why is Amelia so excited? Because she is trying out her new shoes! Ballet and Tap class starts tonight. I'll definitely be posting pictures of her in her cute little getup.

Amelia really, really likes to sit on the kitchen counter while Rob and I are working in the kitchen. I think she likes having a supervisory role.

That is what Amelia is saying in this picture. The flash on my new camera pops up when needed and Amelia loves to push it back down.

For everyone worried about the band-aid on Amelia's face, don't be. She just has a small sore on her cheek that she won't leave alone. We put a band-aid on it to try to keep her from messing with it. Typical 2 year old stuff.

In the midst of my insane quantities of picture taking on Saturday, Amelia requested pictures of herself next to Ayer. Here are a couple good shots and one outtake. Ayer was in the middle of a yawn and Amelia wanted to show everyone her brown crayon.
