Big Girl Potty

Amelia testing out her big girl potty chair. She has a little trouble navigating up and down, but loves to sit up on top. I think her favorite part is washing her hands afterwards.

Amelia's Valentine's Pillow

For Christmas, Amelia got a chair that looks like a mini version of Rob's. Rob always has pillows in his chair, so I figured Amelia could use one for her chair too. Of course, once I saw this cute fabric I had to get it for her. I didn't think about it being holiday related, so I guess I'll *have* to make her one for other holidays as well.

 

 Amelia had a sick day on Thursday so while she was taking her afternoon nap, I managed to get this done. I've been seeing an easy technique for making ruffles with my sewing machine online. (tension as high as possible, longest stitch length). It worked alright, but I wanted a tighter ruffle so I still had to do them the old fashioned way.

Hat!

Amelia has been acting very interested in all things potty lately. I don't think she's quite coordinated enough or aware enough to actually start potty training though. I thought I'd get some of the essentials for her to practice with so it isn't so scary when it is time for the big show.

Did you know that training pants are actually great hats? As soon as she saw them, on her head they went!

Apologies

I apologize to anyone that is totally confused by the ever changing look of this blog. I wanted to add posts only to the home page (Amelia stuff) or the crafty page, not both. Apparently, blogger doesn't really like you to do that and would rather you create a new blog. I am too lazy to try to keep up with 2 blogs and that defeats the entire purpose of creating a crafty page.

So, here is what we have. The  main page will show every post that I create. If you want Amelia only content, just click on the Amelia tab at the top. If you want Crafty only content, click on the Crafty Goodness tab at the top. I really am sorry that I haven't figured out a way to only show Amelia content on the homepage. This blogger stuff is tricky!

LOVE sign

I have seen these LOVE signs all over the internet and thought it would be a simple decoration that can be out all year, not just Valentine's Day. I found a plain wood sign online and away I went! 

It's a little hard to tell, but the O is sparkly and the V has just a hint of shimmer to it. It is even Rob approved.

Another use for a Napkin

Amelia was being naughty and going through the kitchen drawers while I was making dinner. She found a wonderful thing, a Subway napkin! She immediately put it to good use. Her dolly was cold and needed a blanket or covers, as Amelia says.

New Page

I've added a new tab to the top of the blog. I really want a record of some of the crafty creations I have completed. It should also be an easy way to share them with others. 

No need to fear, however, Amelia's pictures will still be the first thing you see!

Recycling

Amelia got very creative with an empty box the other day. At first, she got stuck, then she thought it was fun!

Saturday Shenanigans

Amelia loves sitting in her doll's bathtub. She thinks it is the funniest thing ever!
