In other news, we have to switch Amelia's daycare. At her new place, we have to have her name on everything. I thought that it would help the transition if she had a nice blanket that she was familiar with. So, I got all crafty and made her the blanket below. I think it turned out pretty cute and I can guarantee no other kid will have the same one!

Photo Roundup #2
I've been lapsing on my blogging duties. We went to the lake for vacation and had a great time, Amelia walks around like a champ, and she still has the craziest hair ever!
Silly Daddy and baby!
Pretending to be shy for the camera.
This was what her hair looked like after a nap. No help from Mom or Dad!

Sound asleep even through the fireworks next door.
Amelia's first boat ride. She hated the life jacket, but we think she liked it.

Swim Lessons
Amelia has had about a week and a half of swim lessons. So far she really likes them. She even fell asleep while floating on her back! I would say she is comfortable in the water!
Playing on her birthday horse and reading one of her new favorite books.

How to take along your toys.......
...when you can't quite walk yet. The last couple of weeks, Amelia has decided that using her mouth is an effective way to transport her toys. She does it with anything she can get a good grip on, no matter the size. Here she is carrying her turtle bath toy.
I just had to take the photo above. She was having an especially great hair day. Lots of volume!
To the right she is standing all by herself. She's gotten really good at it and can stay standing for a couple of minutes before she falls or decides to crawl somewhere.
Oh, and SURPRISE Amelia took about 5 steps tonight on her own. I just back from my trip to Boston last night and she waited for me to get home before she started walking. So she made it by her first birthday!

Summer is coming!
Above, Amelia is playing with my tape measure. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. She was entertained for almost 1/2 an hour!
Here she is before our walk this afternoon. She just got her hat on Saturday and really likes it. She always gets a huge smile when we put it on her.

11 Months Old
Amelia is already 11 months old. She can stand by herself for a few seconds. Rob claims he's seen her stand for almost 20 seconds. She can walk really well if she has a hold of someone's finger. I'm pretty sure she could walk by herself if she wanted to.
This week Amelia has learned to move her tongue back and forth across her mouth. She likes make noise while doing it because it sounds weird. I'm not sure where she learned that one!
Check out her giant top tooth in the last photo!
She has 4 teeth in, one that has just popped through her gums, and one that will come through any day now.
